One of my friend ask me to find a way to read very first message without scrolling, specially if you have more than 50,000 messages. Therefore, here is a quick guide to view/read oldest Facebook friend's messages without scrolling which is also 100% working in 2017.

The Chrome extension has been removed from the chrome marketplace. I have personally talk with the developer of this chrome extension, he is working hard to get back things ok as soon as possible. You may try their Firefox extension on the newer version. However, I have not tried the extension but the developer ping us that the extension is currently working on Firefox 1.8.

How to View Older Facebook Messages without Scrolling
Requirements:- Desktop or Laptop
Chrome BrowserFirefox Browser
Open your Google Chrome browser, and click here. It will open in a new tab. Click on +ADD TO CHROME button, and again click on "Add extension". The chrome extension will start installing. After complete installation +ADD TO CHROME button will now be converted into ADDED TO CHROME button.Open your Firefox browser, install this extension on your Firefox.- You have successfully installed 'Message saver for Facebook' add-on in your firefox browser. You don't need to restart your browser.
- It will auto place into the browser toolbar as shown in the following screenshot.
- Now, open your Facebook account, and go to the Facebook messages (Click on message icon in the menu bar, and click on "See All in Messenger"). Or simply go to messenger.com (you may view our video tutorial about reading first message on Facebook). Now, click on the conversation in which you want to see the older or first message.
- Now, click on "Message saver for Facebook" icon from your browser toolbar. It will look like the following preview,
- You can change the date here. Type today's date in "Last date" field (If you are not able to change the date, try clicking on the other friends conversation and then click on the friend conversation in which you want to view the first message). In "First date" field, type the date from where you want to view the message. If you want to view the messages from the begging, you can type any older date in the "First date" field. Let you have an idea that you have started the conversation with a friend around 2012 or 2013 then you can simply type 2009 or 2005 in the "First date" field to view your conversation from older to newer way.
- Now, finally click on the "SAVE" button. A copy of the conversation will be download.
- Now, open this file using any browser, you will get your first message on the top and scroll down the page for other messages from older to newest way. :) :) Hope you enjoy!

Go to this page, https://m.facebook.com/messages/ (This is a mobile version of Facebook), and click on your friend's chat that you want to view. If you don't see your friend chat history, you can view more chat history by "See older messages" link. I assumed you have chosen a friend name "Nick".Once you are in the chat history of your friend "Nick", right click on "See Older Messages" and click on "Copy Link Location". Paste that link to any safe place, we need it later.
Now, go to this page, https://www.facebook.com/messages/ (This is a desktop version of Facebook), and go to the chat history of the same friend "Nick". Now, while scrolling up, have a look on the top of the chat history number as mention in the following preview.
You have to view that no. faster otherwise it will finish to load or you can disconnect your internet connection before scrolling up. Once you get that no. proceed the next step.In step 2, take a look on the copied code which will be look like,https://m.facebook.com/messages/read/?tid=98d3f7de692f4c6dbd11d9cb85df838&start=5&last_message_timestamp=1452887481111&pagination_direction=1&show_delete_message_button&refid=12
you will find a short piece of code inside copied code says "&start=5". The value should be 1,2,3,.....
Now, remove that no. and replace it by "Loading older messages" no. that you have got from step 3.
As per the preview, I should replace it by "&start=6983". Now, remove the piece of code which is in red color. For example, if I edit above code then the affected code will be look like as follows,https://m.facebook.com/messages/read/?tid=98d3f7de692f4c6dabd11d9cb85df838&start=6983&pagination_direction=1&show_delete_message_button&refid=12
That is the only code which is still working in 2016. Copy your edited code, and paste it in your browser. Voila! you are very close to your path. Just you have to click on "See Older Messages" at-most 10 times. You will get the first message of any your Facebook messages.Keep in mind, when you see your first conversation page, you will obviously want to view the next conversations, but you can't view it by clicking on "SEE Newer Messages" as it will redirect you to the current newer messages. To solve this issue. Once you are in the first conversation page, right click on "SEE Newer Messages" and click on "Copy Link Location". Paste the URL in your browser and delete the timestamp information from the link as "&last_message_timestamp=458338746" (as red color text in the first code in step 4). Once you delete this information hit enter to view the next page of your first conversation page.
